It was our 56th wedding anniversary and they sent a nice chachuterie board to our room. Every evening the maid came by with a sweet treat for each room. The property is very nice and right on the bay. Very relaxing atmosphere . I would definitely consider returning to the Amaka Lodge "

Zayro was very accomodating once he found me a quarter mile up the really heinous dirt road since there doesn't seem to be a reception area. it's a 20 minute ride in from the paved road on one of the gnarlier dirt roads I've been on and there is no food or drink once you get there, so bring what you need."

"It’s funky but great to have both AC and a mosquito net. Basic washroom with a cold shower. Sometimes a bit noisy in the morning when all the atv’s and motorcycles start but that’s because the locals are up even earlier getting ready for the day’s tourist expeditions. "Was exactly what we needed for the circumstance. Inexpensive overnight spot to sleep, so as to be ready for snorkeling tour the next morning, along with a bonus view of the ocean. Staff super accommodating on holding on to our luggage after check out. Some unique notes: - Getting to the area def needs all-wheel drive - Meals aren't included, but can be purchased if ordered in advance - No front desk check-in/check-out (noted in the description), just need to communicate with the staff over the app or Whatsapp - Very flexible staff"
