"Gorgeous, quirky foyer. Super helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful room. But beware this is the center of town and it can get lively at night. But you shouldn’t be here to sleep, get out there amongst it. Having said that, the street outside the hotel is nowhere near as loud as other reviews have mentioned (we were at the back of the property though). This is the place to be if you want bars, dining and convenience. Loved our stay here."

"L'hotel Oddsson (midtown, quindi non quello in centro che è invece downtown) è posizionato in una zona non troppo distante dal centro di Reykjavik (circa 3.5 km a piedi). Visto da fuori può sembrare un po' tetro, in quanto tutto nero e con l'aspetto di un casermone di 4 piani. Dentro però le cose cambiano: le camere sono grandi e confortevoli, la pulizia, per quanto buona, viene effettuata ogni due giorni. Il bagno è ampio e comodo. "Everything was pretty much as described. Though we got a little hiccup that the door code we were given to access our room was wrong. Be prepared to have to call their phone number as I saw other reviews sharing the same experience. Otherwise, it was all good."

"Very nice property that was easy to access from the highway. Local food markets and bistro/bar are right there. Access to the gym facilities next store with sauna and hot tub is part of your stay. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the local activities! Definitely would stay there again on our next trip!"

The rooms, bathrooms, lounge and outside areas are all super clean, welcoming and comfortable.. the activities are a lot and they pick you up from right in front of the hostel. And the downtown is just a 20 mins walk … totally recommend!"
