It was a studio apartment with one double bed and 2 sofa beds that converted into 2 double beds. All towels and bedding were provided and you set up the sofa beds yourself. The beds and pillows were nice and comfortable. There was a kitchenette equipped with pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. A small table with chairs was also in the apartment. The washroom was on the smaller side with only a shower area. The shower curtain was dirty on the bottom was not very effective in keeping water inside and the water constantly dripped out onto the surrounding floor.
The hotel was well situated and walking distance to major attractions in Reykjavik. It was just a few blocks away from restaurants and bakeries. Bonus and Kronan supermarkets were a few minutes walk from the hotel and great places to pick up snacks and groceries.
The only con was that the room was not very sound proof. The windows were old with wood trim. They did not shut very tightly and all the traffic and sidewalk noises came through. Our room was also next to the stairs (there are no elevators in the hotel) and we can hear people going up and down the stairs. If you are a light sleeper, this hotel may not be for you.
