After visiting Johnstown Castle & Gardens, make a plan to see the other sights and activities in Wexford. Amble around this relaxing area's waterfront and enjoy its top-notch restaurants.
"Staff firstly were very good and approachable.
We enjoyed the food in the bar area - good portions for the price - quality good too. Bed and room comfort also very good.
Gym and pool staff to very helpful."
"Lyrath was a gem! Beautiful inside and out, the staff was very accommodating. The grounds were beautiful and our room was more than spacious and comfortable. Would definitely return and plan some “downtime” just to enjoy the hotel’s amenities!"
"Warm and family friendly hotel. We are a couple in our early 60s breaking our journey to West Cork and enjoyed the pool, gym and atmosphere. Great place for visiting Mount Congrieve."
"We spent one night here on our way from Dublin to Kilkenny.
The staff were prompt and very polite.
The location is rural, but the facility is top notch. A grand staircase greets you as you enter the main lobby.
As a group, we occupied three rooms.
Our only issue was the lack of room air conditioning (but iist say the temps while we visited were the highest in almost 80 years).
The rooms are equipped with an energy saving feature, you must place a room key in a wall mounted to activate any in room power or lighting. If your remove the key card to exit the room all lights and wall power turn off.
This was not a problem once we figured out how it worked. We had two room keys, so if a person remained in the room, the spare key allowed them to watch television and have lighting."
"We had an excellent one night stay here - and a fun time in town - it’s a little bit of a walk into town but nice - would recommend for a visit to Waterford"
