The only small negative is the cleaning service of our room was lacking with towels not replaced (left with no towels), toilet paper missing, no kleenex, etc. However, when we called it was quick to be resolved. "Room is dated, stained carpets, dusty, wouldn’t win Channel 4’s “Four in a Bed”. Bed was comfy. Could hear road noise still and dog woofing in a nearby room. Dinner was nice, but chef needs to speak to his staff better and not in hearing distance of customers. Reception/bar staff were friendly and welcoming."

"Right opposite the train station so very handy for anyone who has mobility problems. Much quieter than I was expecting and the bed was extremely comfortable. Bedroom had plenty of supplies - including Earl Grey teabags, a cafetière and ground coffee, biscuits etc, also towelling robes and slippers. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. No food service after 6pm but within a short walking distance of many restaurants and bars. "

"I wasn’t very impressed with the breakfast. The support staff was limited, the pastries were warmed up from frozen, the filter coffee was only warm. Very small selection of fresh fruit, the berries were from a container I guess. Little cheese or cold meat and no fresh individual yoghurts. The hotel is very good and I was very happy with the parking. "
