"City Hall was a very nice B&B during our 2 nights in Catania. Damiano provided us with sumptuous breakfasts with meat, cheese, cereal, fresh fruit and magnificent pastries. He also helped smooth over a reservation error I had made and printed out some reservations that we needed for the next step in our journey. We are grateful for his help. "The property is in a residential area. Big gate and on the post , a small signage of the hotel’s name. We spoke to someone on the intercom at the gate, the gate then opens. The property has a rustic charm. Some reviews we’ve read mentioned that the property needs renovation or updates. We think they don’t, it’s part of the charm (for us anyway, who are just visiting Italy). We only stayed for one night so didn’t get to use their swimming pool but it looks okay and romantic in the evening....

Once checked in realized, they have no tea and coffee facilities in room nor a iron. The hotel staff confirmed the basics are not included in the expensive apartment. I was shocked that they do not even provide glasses for drinks unless you request from the bar. If you need clothes ironed, you need to drag your clothes to reception and wait 30mins until they set...
