"Tierra viva was probably my favorite hotel in our 12 night honeymoon- i cant recommend it enough. Book room 504 (junior suite), trust me! It has a large balcony overlooking the urabamba river, with a view both up and down the river. Staff met us at the train station, which i didnt expect, but allowed us to ditch our bags and get to our tour on time. Staff also drew maps for me, gave us drinks and let us check out late. "The view was amazing from our room. They charged me $40 dollars for a late check out. We had 2 rooms. They said that we needed to pay for both rooms. Because if we payed for one room. only 2 people would be able to go in the room. We booked with Expedia. It said free breakfast included. They also charged us for breakfast at the hotel. "

"It was horrible. Nothing was as advertised. Unclean, an uncaring staff. The windows didn't lock. the room was up 3 flights of stairs so dark you couldn't see during the day. And they kept turning the lights off. no breakfast unless you get up at 5 am"

"Il faut savoir qu'Aguas Calientes est une ville construite pour accueillir les touristes de passage qui viennent visiter le MaPi. Tout est excessivement cher, donc pour un prix moyen il ne faut pas s'attendre à un hôtel de luxe. A Samana Wasi, le personnel est accueillant et on peut laisser les sacs en consigne gratuitement.
