We arrived early from Australia and asked for an early check in which wasn't possible unless a fee was paid which we totally understood. We stored our bags at the hotel and went out for the day. On our arrival back we went to check in 15 minutes early but were advised by reception that we would have to pay $75 , obviously we waited the 15 minutes. I do understand about an early check in payment as cleaners would have to prioritise rooms and could alter cleaning runs but when the room is clean , ready to go and 15 minutes prior to normal check in i found this very rude and i feel more customer satisfaction could be managed. For such a large hotel group you need to have processes but any operating standard shows customer satisfaction is the key to success.

First 2 shuttles drove right by me at LAX even though I was waiting at the designated stop. Line to check in was 12 people deep at 8:30 PM and took 30 minutes, exhausting after a 15 hour flight. There’s no room service food. Couch and carpet in room look ages old and worn and filthy. The toilet paper can’t be reached from the toilet. Can hear the child next door crying. Not worth it.

Upon arrival in my room and through out my entire 3 night stay I was bullied. People I assume other employees who work there behind the scenes people you don’t see holding some type of electrical tools up to the ceiling underneath your feet when you stand and your entire body when you lay down that causes your feet to feel a burning sensation of pain. They also have other tools that feel like a bump bump bump underneath your body causing you to have 24 hours a day stress and causing you to lose sleep. They also followed me around the entire property upstairs downstairs and outside with their electrical tools being held up underneath me where ever I went. I call this being bullied. I spoke to the employee manager about this situation and all she said was do you want to check out. I give this property a negative 1 star rating. Do not stay at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel.

I love everything about this particular hotel. Only thing I could recommend is updated the carpet in the hallways. Some floors feel and smell like cheap Vegas hotels. Soiled carpet, carpet stretched out in the hallways.

Poor customer service from the front office manager during booking issue that almost left me without a room overnight. Employees should be more empathetic to customers instead of hiding behind doors and rules. The other women during checkin were helpful but couldn’t override anything their boss was saying or doing.

Nice hotel and great staff. Restaurant had nice selection of foods. Rooms were clean and quiet. Close enough to rental car place that we could drop or off and walk back to hotel. Only downside was the construction work going on in the area but that is not forever.

I only stayed for a 12 hour layover after flying for 14 hours. It was very clean, quiet and felt secure. It made my last flight connection home more comfortable.

It did what it needed to do for a one night stay. The restaurant could have better options and better service. I ordered wings and fries with a few drinks. The fries were covered in sea salt, I was told it would be removed from my bill but it wasn’t. After traveling 24 hours I didn’t have the energy to complain, just did leave a tip. Room was comfortable.

The Sheraton is great if you have to take an early morning flight, but the property definitely needs some updating. The carpets are very worn. The Starbucks is gone. The restaurant offers very little in the way of dining and the prices in the restaurant or very high. For one night stay it is fine, but really for the prices. It could be a little more, up-to-date.

It seemed to be a bit less "spiffy" than previous stays - hallway carpeting fraying, elevator floors appeared to have clumps of gum ground into the floor. However staff and the restaurant were good as usual.

The hallway carpeting on my floor was old filthy and disgusting. The prices for food were ridiculous $25 for a hamburger!! $80 to valet park a day- rip off!!!!

We are currently reviewing our refurbishment plans to ensure our facilities meet our guests' standards and expectations. Additionally, we aim to price our parking competitively within the area at 75 per day but are constantly assessing and updating accordingly to ensure it aligns with the quality and service we strive for.
