An old hotel in a great location added to our New York experience Below average breakfast, should not be sold as something special Great value for money

We stayed in May 2013 in a one-bed suite which consisted of two huge rooms - living room and bedroom plus small bathroom and kitchenette - all spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. We had booked this on a special price from Expedia in January so had great accommodation at comparitively low cost. We were on the 14th floor at the rear so heard no street noise at night and there was very little noise from neighbouring rooms either which I was pleased about. The location was terrific - a short walk from Central Park in direction, Times Square in another, 5th Avenue shops and Bloomingdales on the East side all within a few minutes walk. The Morton Williams supermarket across the road was terrific and we went to Angelo's Pizzeria next door three times - I really liked their food and it was so handy after spending all day sightseeing.

I had a horrible WAY TOO LONG experience getting into the city and the kind desk clerk took pity on me and found me a room even though it was before check in. I had a lovely continental breakfast the next day. All were helpful and friendly and the room was very nice. The bed was comfie. All it lacked was the extra sheet on top of the blanket that I love to have. I could have asked but was too tired to deal with it late at night. The location was great for me who loves to be in the theatre district.

Everyone at the resort was helpful, friendly, and courteous. I mentioned at checkin that my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, and the desk clerk gave us a free room upgrade AND had free chocolate covered strawberries sent to our room! The room was very clean/comfortable and the view was superb. The resort itself was spotless. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Staff was great ! Room Excellent... just don't understand 1 thing, no fans in bathroom... it would help during showering & hair drying (from what I kept hearing from my wife) Still, 99% Great ! And we'll be returning !
