"Wonderful stay, room extremely spacious , however it was a little warm. Breakfast and evening meal was lovely , however the restaurant can get a little hot in warmer weather. Perhaps fans or more open windows may help. Wonderful surroundings and stunning views. Family friendly hotel, will happily stay again."

"So glad we found this place to stay, great value. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay, tea,coffee,bottled water and biscuits. Every member of staff we met was cheerful and friendly and service in restaurant and bar very efficient. Breakfast with choice days and there is a buffet at the weekend. "Exceeded our expectations. Spotlessly clean, fantastic facilities, and a fabulous welcome. We stayed in Tufted Owl overlooking the High Street - a bit ‘rumbly’ if a big vehicle went past, but there’s very little traffic in town at night. The noise didn’t affect me at all. Beds were really comfortable and the breakfast was over at The Crown (we were given a breakfast card each) which was amazing. We’re definitely coming back. "

It was wonderfully quiet and remote, but quite near to lots of great parts of that area of Somerset, including being able to walk from the B&B across the hills to Montacute House. "Room and bathroom lovely and good location in town. We were told it would be noisy at night as it's over a cocktail bar and near a night club. Ear plugs were provided which we thought was a nice touch. If you are prepared to put up with the noise it's a good place to stay."
