"My daughter and I recently returned from a 7 night stay. The Mitre House is everything we wanted. I read the reviews extensively before booking and we were prepared. The Mitre House is excellent value! - First and foremost the location can't be beat. The proximity of Paddington Station and Hyde Park is very convenient. - The breakfast was fantastic and the lovely staff were a delight each morning. It was so easy to eat a full English breakfast in the hotel before heading out for the day. It is very expensive to eat in London. - The front desk staff were pleasant and responsive to any of our needs. - The restaurants in the area are very close and there is a wide variety to choose from. - The hotel is old so be prepared for this. Our room with 2 twin beds was small but we knew that going in, it didn't matter to us as we spent very little time there. We enjoyed the old charm of the building, it has a lot of character. - The elevator is slow but who cares! You are on vacation. We stayed on the 4th floor and always went down via the stairs. - The room was clean and had everything we needed - extra pillows and blankets, a hairdryer and a very good shower. This was my daughter and my first visit to London. It is very expensive to stay in London and I did my research before booking. Look at the photos, read the reviews and you will soon realize the value that The Mitre House offers. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family travelling from Can"
