This was a good place to stay, I would have given it 5 stars but they made me go through a pre-arrival process online and repeated the same questions, identification process and credit card taken even thought I had just completed this process earlier including the signature. They captured my credit card information online and had me take a pic of my drivers license.

There was a very distinct odor on Level 2. The room smelled bad as well. Hallways were super smelly.

Worst stay ever. Got charged for smoking in room when there was no smoking in the room. I had smoked outside in my vehicle then came back in. The manager Trina is not a very helpful person and neither is her head housekeeper who clearly doesnt know the difference from when someone smokes outside and not in a room. Just fyi if you smoke inside a motel room the smell stays in there for a while so please explain to me when you find out that room didnt get smoked in. I just believe they were out to get money which is ok God does not like ugly and it will come back on you.

The properties WiFi didn’t work. Friday night we were in the lobby until after midnight with no issues. Come Saturday night we were down there again with our group, there was another group in the seating area near the front desk. Megan came over and told us that her manager Tina told her we need to leave the lobby by 9:30, that she was doing us a favor and gave us until 10pm. But she didn’t not tell the other group anything. I refused to go to my room at 10pm simply because she was singling us out and didn’t tell the other group until after we mentioned it then she tried to tell them to go to their room and they refused as well. She wanted us and our kids in our rooms by 10pm but had her children on the property. It was very unprofessional how she approached just our group. And we have 7 families there with us, traveling 2 hours and had booked our 8 rooms for the entire weekend. Would not recommend this property because of the poor service, on top of that during the busiest time of the day, the decided to do service on the elevator

The customer service was horrible we had no towels in our room the rep that registered me was very rude and was not welcoming, I stated there last year and the service was great I will not stay there again due to the treatment at this facility we had a whole ball team that stayed there and they all had the same experience so they just lost a lot of customers

I didn’t like anything about my stay! The faculty was TERRIBLE. The sink in our room was stopped up, I asked for towels all weekend and didn’t get one!! Whoever worked the front desk during the second night of our stay was rude!! Do NOT recommend staying here.

The check in process was very slow. The hotel did not have WiFi. They stated they rebooted the router however even by Sunday there was no wifi downstairs or upstairs. The lady at check in Friday night was very nice but seemed overwhelmed. Megan on Saturday night was not friendly. She did not want us to gather in the dining area and even told party members she was charging my card $50 for a noise complaint and threw the manager’s name around “Tina.” She made comments to other members of our group that she bets “403” will complain about the elevators. First and foremost, closing the elevators down for maintenance at 7 pm is inconvenient. Fortunately I don’t have a disability and we were able to carry our items upstairs to the 4th floor however if I did have a disability it would have been a problem. We will not return.

We liked that our favorite restaurants are in walking distance. We enjoyed the stay in Brownwood. The only complaint I have is that you can hear everything… the neighbors were loud and I don’t think it’s it intentional, just thin walls. Our kids are autistic so it was rough for them to hear the doors slamming and kids running around. We were able to maintain them and reassure them it was ok. We skipped the room service only for the fact with autism we made our selves comfortable and didn’t want things disturbed when we come back to the room. We appreciate everything just wanted our things to be the way we left them 👍

The condition of the motel was much better than most Motel 6's. However, the management was bad. They seemed to hate pets, pet owners, and senior customers.

The location is convenient, it’s right in the middle of the busy intersection of Brownwood really close to WalMart, which is across the street from the best restaurant Underwood’s. While we were there, the elevator did not work properly, the room itself could’ve used cleaning more there was grime on the lid of the water bucket, and none of the ice machines worked except on the first floor. The free breakfast was mediocre. Would probably not stay again, the staff was friendly though and that is always a plus.

As soon as you step off the elevator, you get knocked over by the odor of pet urine. All 4 in our party had headaches due to the horrible smell. No more La Quinta for us after this one.

Bad stay!
Poor overall. No one at the desk when we arrived. We had to pick up a phone that alerted we were here to check in. This took 15 minutes. Our shower handle was broken and someone came to fix it. This did not solve the problem. When we left our room, the shower was still running waiting lots of hot water. I advised 2 ladies from house keeping that our shower was broken/still running. I tried to check out at the desk and discuss the shower problem. No one was there and no one came for over 10 mins. I could not wait any longer and had to leave.

Very poor customer service
Could not check in until after 3:00 they said they had no rooms ready. The staff was rude, they have only one person that can operate the system for check in and check out. When checking out the person at the desk was not that person so I could not get a receipt the amount my credit card was charged was more than it should have been. There are so many choices of hotels in this area I will stay somewhere else next time in Brownwood.

They ask if you have special instructions. I told them I needed 1st floor. I get anxiety riding elevator. But because I had 10 lb dog I would have to pay $75 more on top of $25 I already paid. That was crazy. I will not stay there again. The breakfast was not as good as other places we have stayed.
