"This is really something to be experienced. It is new (2023) and massive - hundreds and hundreds of guests. It is a spa, first and foremost. The rooms are huge, quiet, and elegant; the numerous staff are efficient and multi-lingual. Hot springs in the building, hundreds of guests strolling about in hotel yukata, views of the peaks and ocean. "Pros: 1. Location: many bus stops nearby, and hotel is between 2 of the largest shopping centres in Beppu. So finding food is easy. There is also a nice restaurant opposite the hotel, Royal Host. Con’s 1. We wanted to check in at 2 pm but staff was insistent to only let us check in at 3pm. So we waited at the lobby. There was no traffic in the hotel in that one hour and at 2.45pm, we were then offered the room. Why so rigid? 2. The hotel was unmanned at night, which may pose a security...

"Our stay at Kamenoi Hotel Beppu was wonderful. The room was spacious and conveniently located near Beppu Station and bus stops, as well as a Lawsons right across the street. The onsite onsen was great as well. Very large with steam bath and open air options."
