If you are there at the holiday season, try to get a reservation in to the Raclette chalet as early as possible since it books up really quickly! "It's an aviation training facility which has apartments available for stays. Super easy check in and out. Very clean and spacious apartment with kitchenette and balcony. Aldi nearby meant we could make our own meals and Dave even more. About 20 minutes drive onto Bern old town centre. It was probably the best place we stayed at on our trip and would happily stay there again."

The only con would be that the room was really warm, even though it was cold outside. We needed to switch the AC on because it was so warm in the room. Other than that very convenient stay."

"We were assigned to room 204 even though the hotel was not full. Directly below our room is a bar that plays music until midnight. The hotel is great - just make sure you ask for a room on the fifth floor opposite side of the bar! "

"You must have a phone or internet in order to check in. Very inconvenient for international travelers. There is no reception. No one physically present. Internet was an issue during the stay. On and off (mostly off) during the whole stay. Best bed ever. We had a twin and requested a change to king. It was fine immediately. The mattress topper was amazing. Excellent linen and pillows. Room was good though there were some minor finishing touches. "
