This picturesque stretch of white sand and warm, turquoise water is home to luxury resorts, restaurants and one of the world’s largest barrier reefs.

Grace Bay is famous for its pristine sand, clear seawater and coral reef. The area is highly developed, with condos, resorts and restaurants along the beachfront offering luxury accommodation, spa treatments and fine dining. It is both a hub of activity and a tranquil refuge of sand and sun.

Stroll over 12 miles (19.3 kilometres) of fine, white sand and walk out into the clear, blue ocean. The water remains a pleasant temperature throughout the year and it is so shallow you can walk for several minutes before the water level reaches your waist. Enjoy a siesta in the shade in a hammock, or stretch out in the sun and work on your tan. Watch the turquoise water turn a shade of violet as the sun sinks below the horizon.

Grace Bay is home to one of the world’s largest barrier reefs. Try snorkeling or scuba diving to discover the colourful coral and marine life below the ocean’s surface. The waters are home to a number of creatures, such as sea turtles, lobster, barracuda and stingray. At certain times of the year, you can also spot whales and dolphins. Pregnant reef sharks also visit the shallow waters in the summer, giving you the opportunity to observe these creatures underwater from a safe distance.

Stay at one of the many luxury resorts along the stretch of coast. Relax with a spa treatment or venture out to one of Grace Bay's fine restaurants and try some fresh local seafood while enjoying stunning ocean views.

Grace Bay is situated on the north coast of Providenciales. Rent a car or take a cab from Providenciales International Airport, which is a 15-minute drive from the beach. Sights including Parrot Cay, Pine Cay and Mangrove Cay are all nearby. Many resorts provide free snorkel equipment to guests. You can also rent equipment from a number of tour operators in the area.
