Coconino County

Arizona

This location will always hold a piece of my heart, it's a little known spot found driving the forest service roads in the Coconino National Forest out near Flagstaff, AZ.

From this location you can see all the way out to Sedona. There is BLM camping in the area and my favorite campsite isn't far from where this photo was taken.

I've recently moved away from the Southwest, but this view will ever tug at my heartstrings... I already can't wait to go back!

Beaver Falls gently cascades down a series of pools. It's not the easiest of falls to get too but once you negotiate the climb down from Mooney Falls and hike through lush greenery resembling Jurassic Park and a few water crossings, Beaver Falls is laid out in front of you.
Warning - the climb down to Mooney Falls is not for the faint hearted or anyone with a remote fear of heights. Or falling, or instant death.
Out in the middle of nowhere and we got there right in time for sunset. A must see!
