Rainbow Stairs Ski Holidays

I’d like to preface that my family and I stayed at the Midtown Richardson in Kaohsiung for 9 days prior to checking into this one in Taipei for 5 days. I booked this property based on my *naive* assumption that I would have the same experience that we had in Kaohsiung which was very pleasant. However we were greatly disappoint as soon as we walked into our rooms. I booked 3 rooms,

Room was clean and modern decor. Staff was super helpful. Convenient to Xin Yi shopping district and Song Shan cultural area.

The staff, except from one person, was not very helpful. They were not open to fair questions, for example, like wanting to check if I could check in for a friend, with a picture of their passport. Totally valid question, doesn't deserve

Nice with cultural mood environment, just opposite to Huashan 1914 Creative Park! Convenient for shopping and take lessure moments at Taipei city!

Surrounded by lots of Japanese restaurants. Robust area.

Spacious room, comfy bed, friendly staff, clean, elevators were fast and did not need to wait long, great view of 101

Hotel and staff were excellent.

Everything was great about the property, just disappointed I have several more trips planned for Taipei but I wont be staying at Marriott as I was not entitled to any loyalty points cause I booked through Expedia. I was not informed of this upon booking and that is not right on Expedia's part as well as Marriott. Why can't you be transparent to your customers about such a thing? If Marriott is your partner on your platform why couldnt I get the points or at least pre warn me and I will take my business elsewhere.

Clean, easy check in and area around property is good. Fair price for the hotel, wifi was not the best though. Free breakfast which was decent.
