We very much enjoyed our stay at Puri Gangga Resort in Ubud! Eventhough it is not far from shops, it is luxury hidden in the hills with beautiful views of tropical forest. We very much liked the way they had decorated the hotel with quality buildings, ancient statues, fountains and antique furniture. We loved the food. We had amazing breakfast and dinners. They even cooked the tenderloins correctly. We had a number of very effective, professional massages. My long term foot injury finally started improving!

We have stayed in many hotels across Bali, and for the price of this one, it was very underwhelming. Bed wasn’t super comfortable, the bathroom was stinking hot room and the design of our room was ridiculous (tiny little sink for one person to use and the toilet door doesn’t open all the way) amenities weren’t replaced, room was serviced at a BARE minimum (we had rubbish sitting outside our room for 2-3 days). Breakfast was not bad, it had many options but compared to other places we felt for the price there could have been a little more. The grounds are huge, and if you’re not located in a room close to the pool then expect long walks to any main area. The pool area was nice, we loved that there were two pools (one adults only). This was a nice spot to spend the days, they had a call button to get service when needed which we thought was also excellent. Staff were pleasant and easy to communicate with. Again, for the price we paid.. we wouldn’t be staying here again as there is much better out there for cheaper.

We got the room with pool. It was bigger than expected which was a pleasant surprise, and the room itself was spacious. The buffet breakfast was great quality with a variety of options. The highlight was the service provided by staff; everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Very sad to leave this resort.

Talk about finding your zen… I couldn’t have been happier with our stay at!! From the moment we arrived on the property I felt like every need was taken care of and every employee had a welcoming smile on their face. The room was gorgeous and had everything we could have asked for and more. The Balinese platform bed on the patio was my absolute favorite and I spent as much time as possible out there. Each room has its own patio/yard that gives you a wonderful sense of space and quiet. The food was top notch, both in the restaurant and for in room dining. My daughter and husband got sick while there; after calling the front desk within 30 minutes there was a Dr. at our room door that spoke great English and was highly prepared to help with anything we needed. The forest spa was so unique. Amazing to be in nature while getting such a nice treatment done. You knew you were in the forest while hearing the monkeys in the trees. My only regret about my stay was that it wasn’t long enough!!

Our stay at Ayung Resort was one of the highlights of our Southeast Asia trip. We stayed at around seven different properties, and this was easily our favorite. The villa exceeded our expectations and looked exactly like the photos—no misleading editing like we experienced at some other places in Bali. The beautiful hand-carved wooden details throughout the room gave it an authentic Balinese feel while still feeling truly luxurious. The location was perfect. Instead of staying in the busy, crowded Ubud Palace area, we were surrounded by lush forest with the soothing sound of the Ayung River. Waking up to monkeys peacefully going about their morning in the trees was a memorable experience. The resort grounds are large, beautifully landscaped, and impeccably maintained. Housekeeping was outstanding—the room was spotless every day, and water, toiletries, towels, and everything else were replenished without us ever needing to ask. The buggy service was always quick, and every staff member we met was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. We also had the seafood dinner one evening, and it was one of the best meals of our trip. Breakfast was good, although after several mornings the selection became a little repetitive. Overall, this is what true luxury feels like: beautiful surroundings, authentic Balinese craftsmanship, exceptional service, and attention to every detail. Every dollar felt well spent, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended for any

Honestly we are from Perth and have come to Bali every year for the last 20 years and we have stayed everywhere, hotels and villas, but this was the truly the best family holiday hotel we have had. Beautiful hotel, excellent location, stunning gardens, amazing staff, we cannot fault it. I really rate the poolside staff who had so much to juggle they were so good, but also the location is perfect we will come back here, highly recommend this and whilst it’s not cheap it is definitely worth it :)
