I absolutely adore this place!
It’s conveniently located near the main tourist spots.
Even though there’s no one to “check us in,” it was super simple and easy. I’d definitely stay here again when I’m back in Osaka.
The room was spotless when I arrived, and since I’m pretty organized, I don’t need my room cleaned every day. This one didn’t have that extra touch.
Also, if you need a washer and dryer for your trip at the end, this is the perfect spot for you.
One thing I’d really love them to add is an AC in the elevator. But aside from that, it’s absolutely perfect!

Pleasant stay at Hotel Monterey Frere. Easy to get to from Osaka station by foot. Many dining options within a one block radius of the property and even more beyond that. Only concern is elevator availability can be delayed during peak times. Otherwise would come back again if I find myself in Osaka.
