It was a charming hotel with Japanese garden and a tea room present on multiple floors beside the ground level. The room we stayed in was on a cozier side, but it was clean (equipped with an air cleaner monitoring the cleanliness of the air), functional. and comfortable . We didn’t hear any sound coming from adjacent rooms, which was good.
We enjoyed the Japanese restaurant on the first floor, Yukuri, throughout our one-week stay though the other French restaurant was also very good. The dinner set on New Year’s Eve including Toshi-Koshi Soba and the Osechi & Ozoni breakfast set on New Year’s Day were exquisite.Especially, Osechi & Ozoni set was so artistically beautiful that we were almost hesitant to eat it!

had a pleasant stay overall. The lobby is beautiful and the staff are truly excellent. Everyone was kind, professional, and very helpful, which made a big difference. The room itself felt a bit dated and could use an update. It was clean and comfortable, but not modern. Breakfast was good and reliable, but very basic, nothing special. No complaints, just not a wow experience. Overall a solid hotel mainly because of the service and location.

Room was spacious. Love the residential home where I can cook and use the microwave. Also the washing machine was a life saver.
Highly recommend and location is easy to navigate.
The only down side is that house cleaning cost money. Should be included but I see why for ‘residential’ purpose.
