Enjoyed my stay at Hotel Casa Amsterdam, as it is very close to Amstel Station which connects you to the whole city and the intercity train network.
The rooms are small but well maintained, and the bathroom/shower facilities were in great condition.
While perhaps obvious, it should be noted that the hotel rooms do NOT have air conditioning. This is not particularly clear from the Expedia listing. Given that it was quite warm, and we were on the 9th floor, we did find it a little hot and humid. The supplied fan was helpful, but it was a bit of an unfortunate surprise when we realized upon check-in that there was no A/C.
All in all, I would stay there again and recommend the location in Amsterdam Oost.

The best of the hotel is its location. The subway is in walking distance; it is close to the museums. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and gave good advice about the city. There is a happy hour in the hotel with free drinks between 4pm and 6pm every day. The stairs to the rooms are steep; you need to be able to navigate them.
