"Our flight was delayed therefore arrived a day late. I emailed 'Jamilah' owner of hotel once had WiFi access. Jamilah the owner was considerate as she responded with 'no problem' (Hakuna Matata, (Swahilli). Once we arrived, we were taken to a small and very clean room, but without a fridge or long mirror. I had a word with Jamilah and she assured me that she would sort a fridge and long mirror for us. By the end of the evening a fridge and a mirror arrived. I was so grateful as Jamilah went...

"Lovely little hotel with individuell rooms and a restaurant bar right at the beach. We had one of the rooms with a spacious balcony, where you have stunning views of the ocean. Pia & Hashim are great hosts who let you feel like home, always friendly and willing to help you with everything. Their cute dog Leo & their cat complete the family. "I stayed here one night after landing in stone town. Perfect spot to nap on and off to get through the jet lag and be right in the heart of stone town. Extremely walkable to sites. The rooms are spacious, excellent shower and super comfy bed. Very clean and was just what I was looking for. Please note that it was a bit difficult to find. The taxi just dropped me off on the main road because cars can’t access the small streets. Once you know where it is, it’s super simple to return to"

"This is the absolute best place for those looking for inexpensive stays.The staff was very nice, as were the other guest. It was very clean. No dirt, bugs, spiderwibs or anything else. Great location. 100m from the beach; 150m from Summer Beach restaurant, which has nice vibes, comfy chairs, a pool and wifi. The wifi in the hotel was the only issue, as it didnt work when got back in the evening, but for the price ($23USD), it's the best value i've stayed at anywhere around the world. "
