"The problem is that everything is in addition and we did not know - so we had to oay extra for bed sheets and towels, extra to check out after 8 AM! And we had to pay extra for the fuel used, but no one said that even at checkin. So at the end of the- it costed more than 200 euro more than expected. There are more modern and better alternatives. "An absolutely delightful boutique hotel overlooking the shores of Lake Muritz, and in the Old-Town area of Waren close to all amenities, restaurants, shops etc. Originally built as a young-ladies 'Finishing School' in the late 1800's, the hotel is full of period-atmosphere and history, and the decor and furniture reflects this. Our room was a really good size, and also had a period sofa, desk and coffee table, as well as a modern bathroom and comfortable bed. The breakfast was a real treat of home-made and local produce, along-with cereals, muesli, breads etc. The owners speak very little English, but with my school-boy German (or Google-Translate would also work), they couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful with advice. The small additional charge for car-parking is very good value for Waren, where on-street charges can be quite expensive. If you are looking to stay in Waren and would like personal service, friendliness and a beautiful hotel with charm and history, then this is your place! (Note the opening hours of the reception desk - the hotel is unable to take late arrivals, which you should plan around.) "
