"Perfect location (two minute walk to daughter's house); excellent breakfasts, particularly the porridge; fun pub downstairs, loved a cappella rehearsal."

"Don’t get me wrong, it’s rustic and charming with an interesting history and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was made to order and Sunday roast was impressive. All that’s good, but wear earplugs if you’re planning to get any sleep! The mattress was saggy and had very pokey springs. The location made it very noisy - weekends there are people partying in the streets until 3am and Monday at 4:30am the street-cleaner starts cleaning the block. "Location was good and also the matras was ok. The Bath and furniture were dated, Bath rust and mold. View from the window on garbage from hotel. We had lots of flies in the room. The TV was not working properly (bad receipt most channels). No soap and shampoo at shower (both empty). No cleanup room and clean towels for 2nd night. We paid for breakfast but was poor. On tables outside in the morning they left all the bottles and glasses. They are not looking after the place. Much much too...

We had a delicious full cooked breakfast made for us the following morning. Free parking nearby (...

"Rooms and bar needs redecorating out dated and not clean"

"I needed a place in Chester that had free parking and a bed to sleep in The George and Dragon Place fitted the bill. The bed was comfortable, and the shower hot. As it was a wet weekend in Chester the radiator produced enough heat to dry my trousers before going out for dinner. However, remember to turn it off before going out as it was like a sauna on my return. The hotel fitted my requirements but without food it may not be for you."
