Beautiful vintage home full of period antiques. Room #4 was small (as advertised), but we were fine with that. Our room faced 8th St., which is also alternate 90/94 at that stretch, so there was some traffic/truck noise. Didn't unduly bother us, but FYI. Weirdly there was no hair dryer so our 1st night I went to dinner with very wet hair. Luckily it wasn't that cold. (I could have knocked on the "Private" door to ask, I suppose, but didn't seem to rise to that level of urgency. When I did ask the next day, Julia said, "oh yeah, I took it out to give to another room and forgot to put one back". And then while I was looking for one, I noticed clothes (of a past guest I assume) in a dresser drawer, and when I pointed that out to Julia, she said "oh yeah, I don't always check after every guest." So both those comments gave me a faint sense that they're not as on top of things as they should be.... Also, FYI mattress in room #4 was very soft! But if you're into the Ringlings and the circus, this is a great place for you to soak up their history. For us (who had been there 10+ years ago and already did all the circus stuff), it was a very convenient place to stay for exploring Devils Lake trails, the Int'l Crane Foundation, and Parfrey's Glen.
