"Housekeeping staff friendly but no daily cleaning. Breakfast room manager wonderful! Hotel needs refurbishing from parking lot to hallway carpets to bedding. Bathrooms clean and up to date. Selected hotel based on chain reputation and pictures purportedly of actual rooms at facility."

"While the staff was very nice and accommodating the owners should really look into updating the property. The rooms need maintenance and repairs! Our first room the floors were dirty, the room smelled like an ash tray, and the water for the shower came out of the wall. The next room the door wouldn't work so the staff had to force the door open. The room didn't smell but again the floors were dirty as well as the fixtures. The hotel overall was ok, but we won't be returning and canceled for our next tournament."

"The Powhatan, Hilton Hotels resort in Williamsburg, Va has been a go to place to stay for years when visting the area with family & friends for a seasonal getaway &/or golf trips with the guys. Either way the flexibility of clean, updated & well maintained accommodations with access to numerous on site activites & events makes for a great getaway!"

"The property was fine, but the front desk staff never told us that parking was an additional $20/day + tax. He simply handed us the parking pass. (This was AFTER our room was not ready at the promised check in time of 4pm. We had to wait almost 2 hours to get into our room.) Nor was the parking fee outlined on our reservation confirmation email from Wxpedia nor the email from Marriott. When I spoke to the manager about it, her reply was, “It’s on our website and all the booking sites. I know because I manage them. It’s also written on the parking pass.” That all may be true but it’s not obvious, and requires the guest to seek it out. We would have selected an alternative parking option with no fee vs. paying the fee. This is unacceptable. As a longtime guest at many of their properties, I expect better from Marriott."

From the moment we arrived, the hotel was clean and welcoming, with a pleasant fragrance in the lobby. Amy made check-in quick and easy. Our handicap-accessible room was spacious and well designed, with grab bars in the bathroom for safety and a very comfortable bed. The staff greeted us warmly at breakfast as well. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Williamsburg."
