"Face cloths were clean, but permanently stained. Television was a mystery to operate. The staff tried to be supportive, but it felt like they weren’t given what they needed to be as helpful as they wanted."

"Large gap in the entry door, had a couple spiders inside the room. The faucet for the bath is always leaking so you hear the water drop all night. I didnt ask for another room, wasnt worthing the effort since they dont really care about the leaks and gap"

"The location was good for the ferry and the price reasonable booked because it said there was a restaurant on the premises,there isn't. Had to go down the road,this restaurant closes Monday and Tuesday so canceled for the return journey which is a Tuesday the room had no amenities,there were two of us and only one bottle of water no face tissues,nothing to drink out of. No coffee maker"

"Property is being renovated, and they're doing it not floor by floor but scattered so no floor was with out noise or work going on. That being said the renovations are good. The location was really good close to restaurants and sights to see. Staff was more that willing to help and guid you."

I chose the Royal Hotel based on its excellent Google reviews and the owners' thoughtful responses, and it did not disappoint—I enjoyed my stay so much that I've already booked another night for next week. Baby Rango the toy poodle and Billy Bean the Siamese cat are absolutely adorable, and Carmen is as warm, colourful, and memorable as the hotel itself."
