Great affordable stay, very obliging staff. Only needs an opening window as very hot & stuffy on a hot evening/night.

No air conditioning or fans - very hot in the room for middle of summer. Small room and very limited options for preparing any food or sitting down to eat. However, gardens are nice. Quiet area. Providing breakfast would have helped.
Room was good, clean and with being dog 🐕 friendly it suited us very well.
There could have been a small table for luggage etc and also the Microwave Jug area was not safe.
Felt like stepping back in time in an old English inn but with all the modern day comforts. Franks room had a very comfortable bed.
Be sure to read the history of the property supplied in each room which is absolutely fascinating.
The best Sunday roast I’ve ever had was served at the local pub down the road and the Gin distillery is with a visit too.
Worth a stroll round the historic gardens if you get time. A most memorable stay!

We had a great stay at fitzpatricks inn. Comfortable bed and great bathroom plus dog friendly! Thanks Nigel.
We stayed in "Frank's Room" for 1 night. The room had tea/coffee facilities, toaster, kettle and mini fridge. The bathroom was spotless and renovated. Key box for easy check-in and checkout. Wifi working and comfortable bed. Parking infront of rooms. Quality towels and a chocolate Toblerone was a nice treat. Would stay again.
Beautiful garden, queen bed was more double size and very squeaky with a wire base which wasn’t to our liking I’m afraid! Couple of light bulbs weren’t working but great shower and otherwise fine.

The stay turned out well in the end.
Maybe the website needs a bit of updating as the restaurant and bar, dinning area in the room and possible room service that we were expecting where all not available and had not been so for some time.
We were travelling in our camper so had everything we needed to look after ourselves and the caretaker chap who was doing a great job as jack of all trades, was happy for us to cook our own meals and dine in the lovely garden area which he was working to restore.
So while it was not what we expected we very much enjoyed our stay.
Heritage & unique gardens, great bath. One negative would have liked a small fridge in the room & tea & coffee instead of outside the room in the hall.
Fantastic heritage property with great service and dining, and beautiful gardens. Wonderful host!

We stayed in a garden room, not in the heritage rooms in the main building. The room was very small, but adequate, the bed comfortable and the bathroom excellent, great shower and absolutely spotless. Nice breakfast.
The host went out of her way to make our stay the best! And on Christmas Eve as well. A wonderful stay, very conveniently located close to the junction of highways between Devonport, Launceston and Hobart, yet very quiet and tranquil in beautiful grounds at the edge of quaint township.
