"Wonderful stay with my friend at our 2 dogs, great facilities if you have dogs and very secure for them. It is worth noting that you can not pull your car directly up to the hut to unpack and pack, but it is only a very short walk. Lots of nice walks and secure places for dogs to have a run off the lead. Wildlife in the area is second to non. We walked into Thirsk from the huts and had a lovely lunch and such a pretty town. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. "

"Very well presented little cottage. There are a few different cottages here, we stayed in Valencourt. Quality furnishings and fittings, was very comfortable and cosy for a family of 4. Only frustration was the showers. Very difficult to get the right temp for the kids. (I think its to do with the hot water pressure) Even so it didn't spoil our stay, lovely touch with welcome pack in the kitchen, tea, sugar, milk, bread, butter, fresh orange juice and biscuits. "Had a lovely 2 night stay in granary cottage. Set in lovely private grounds. The cottage was very spacious, clean, eqipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. "I was staying for 3 weeks , when I arrived I had to contact the people to get the access code as they did not send it as I had an overseas contact number . If I had arrived after dark you would never find the key box as there is no lighting in the area where access is. "Had an amazing stay at Whorlton Lodge. Very spacious and very clean was a home from home. We will definitely be returning in the summer. The views were beautiful from the front windows. "Rachael and Rory were perfect hosts and were always there to assist us. The icing on the cake was a delicious Yorkshire Brack cake waiting for us on our arrival and to top it all Rachael made us a cake half way through our visit. The accommodation was excellent. "Nice hotel with good facilities. Excellent spa and gym. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was buffet with some options to order from the kitchen. Everything was freshly cooked and warm with plenty of staff to attend tables. We used as a base to travel into Durham. Used park and ride which is only 5 mins on the bus and costs £2.20 return - much easier than the hassle of driving into a city centre at the weekend and trying to find a car park.
