The hotel West Baden is awesome they have 24 hour trolley that runs every 15 minutes and will take you anywhere in the area.

Pleased we did not stay at French Lick after visiting the French Lick "Smoke Pit". The Casino at French Lick allows enough smoke throughout the hotel to make most non-smokers sick. West Baden was was much classier, the only smoke was from the valets standing in the front door due to cold weather. Its a smoker's paradise if you are into that kind of thing.

Stunning structure which was well maintained. Beautiful room and overall facility. Physical relation to French Lick resort was confusing from online information. Desk staff was very efficient and polite, as were the young gentlemen at the valet stand . Though it was listed as having 15 restaurants, most were actually at another facility. I prefer a firm mattress and ours was elegant but too soft for my taste. Pricey but a terrific architectural hotel experience.

We only stayed one night as we finished up a family weekend at a cabin. Wonderful to stay at such a beautiful resort and have a private room after a week with 14 family members in the Patoka lake area! :o)

Hotel was comfortable and quiet. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Service was somewhat slow for breakfast but the food was good. Sinclair's restaurant looked interesting but very pricey and did not fit into our one night stay. Dinner in rhe atrium restaurant Ballards was a better fit for this visit.

Outstanding and Memorable Hotel

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to West Baden Springs Hotel. It was our first time there and it surely will not be our last !! The delicious meals, both at West Baden and at French Lick Hotel were outstanding! The amenities were superb, as well as just walking the grounds, and soaking in all the beauty, history and character of the surroundings. Thank you to the Cook family for restoring this national treasure.

Somewhat disappointed

Lack of maps to show the layout of the hotel. You had to walk around and find it yourself. Misleading information about West Baden ‘s amenities as Casino when actually the casino was at the French Lick Resort.

Loved our stay, but the little things...

My husband and I loved our stay at West Baden Hotel. We came for the night for a getaway. The atrium is incredible and you can’t help but say Wow when you walk in. Our room was super nice, bed was comfortable. We had the beautiful pool and hot tub to ourselves. Where I felt this experience was lacking was in the attentiveness of the staff. There was no one waiting out front to tell us how to check in or offer to help with our bags. You know what they say about first impressions. We left the car out front and went to check in, had to go all the way back to the car, get our stuff, then back again through the hotel to our room. There were some guys standing at the bell desk inside but they didn’t offer to assist. Check in was nice, Bob, gave us the scoop on the hotel and restaurants. Very friendly. Otherwise, it kind of felt like “off-season” there. It’s a pricey stay, it would be first rate if the staff were more attentive and friendly.

Impressive look at history

Great place. Magnificent with awesome amenities. It’s like stepping back in time. Hotel photos show the Hotel restored to its Majestic look from the early 1900’s.

West Baden Springs night over.

West Baden Springs is a beautiful place to stay. It is very clean and very pleasant to the eye. It is a bit pricey for the person just traveling and wanting a sleep over night. This is a place to come and stay a few days.
