"The stay was amazing. From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted by the owners of the property who showed exceptional hospitality. The room was really nice and clean with an amazing view of the surroundings. The food was 10/10 with a selection of both local and international options. The owners helped with arranging a jeep for the safari and were ready to help with any other requests. I would highly recommend staying at the property if you’re going for the Yala Jungle Safari. "

"The homestay double booked my booking so I turned up and they had nowhere for me to stay. At 5pm I then had to try and find a room in Ella for the night, in peak season. Ended up staying in a dirty hotel as that was the only option left after 3 hours of searching, and got severely ill from the food there. My whole holiday was completely ruined thanks to Dimuthu homestay. Unbelievably unprofessional. DO NOT book here, it is not worth the risk."

"I normally don’t write a reviews but this was the worst accommodation so I decided to write. I’m traveling all around Asia and this was the most stressful experience I’ve ever had in my life. First of all, room is not clean at all, towels smells awful ( it’s like someone’s already use it before), many ants climbing up on bed, and the worst thing is so many species of insects. "By far, best place to stay in Sri Lanka! You have your little bungalow in a picturesque area surrounded by rice paddies, gardens, wild life. The pool is amazing, the food outstanding. The hotel staff is absolutely incredible. A special shout out to Kingsley, Madu and Salini and all staff. They welcome you like a family member. "

"We had a short trip to Ella and booked Hotel Onrock for one night. The hotel is at the top of a steep hill and was a bit tricky to find but once we found it, I could not fault anything about the hotel. It was very clean and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. The room was extremely spacious and the view from our balcony was breathtaking. The highlight for me was the restaurant. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both meals were very tasty and had a variety of cuisines on offer. All the kitchen staff were very caring and went to a lot of effort to make sure we enjoyed our meals. "
