Welch Mountain and Dickey Mountain Loop Trailhead

While the place is lovely I had to give a poor rate for two main reasons: 1. we arrived late due to travel delay and despite calling the property there were no arrangements for our stay. One is supposed to pick up a key at a box after hours. There was no key for us. The on- call service tried to get us to pay again for a new hotel somewhere else at 11 PM! After much argument they gave us a key to a room meant for someone else. Despite calling the office in the morning no one called us back. 2. The property is very widespread. If you come at night, it’s very hard to find your way. Thank goodness for the on call lady who helped us.

This place is adorable and Ashley at the front desk was a doll set up my spa appointment and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. Would definitely come here again. Loved it. Bed are so comfy and clean slept like a baby.

Very nice restaurant, very nice bar/lounge/porch experience. Room was small, quaint, just good enough. Bath was spacious, but shower in the bathroom was much too small - only large enough for an adult male to just turn around in; not bend over. Good food. Good service in restaurant and bar. Grounds were nice but not special. Room was small and without A/C, because relied on single window unit only, and the maintenance people removed that one for repair earlier in the day without replacing it. The hostess said she did not know, but when told, she made no effort to fix. Fortunately, it was a cold evening and the too warm room cooled off after the window was left open. Was very surprised by the hostess' lack of care/effort to correct the A/C situation. Overall good experience for one night, but not worth the premium price. Will look elsewhere if ever in the area again.
