Pros: Low cost, ok for one night while travelling. Obviously manager does their best , and the room was clean and neat, but needs lots of renovation. Whole place pretty run down.

It's the 3rd time I've stayed at Edinburgh Motor Inn, as it is convenient and reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Clean, simple accommodation which is more than adequate for a single night's stay.

We had late checkout which I was very pleased about and appreciated A bit of road noise but not too hard to cope with. Tea making facilities good. Excellent sized TV. Overall would be happy to stay here again if needed.

The Edinburgh Motor Inn is a basic, old-fashioned motel. It has what's needed at a reasonable price. The parking is good, it's off a main street (bit of street noise as a result). But it has all you need for budget overnights - it's clean, tea/coffee facilities and some crockery if you bring in food but I would have liked a bedside lamp. It was clean and the check in was friendly and polite.

Very friendly and accommodating staff when we wanted early access to our room. Helpfulness continued throughout our stay. Nice comfortable room. Black mark to Expedia - their accounting procedures left me in total confusion concerning payment. And I am not totally sure that I gave them authority to access my account for this booking. A withdrawal from the account without mention of the name of the accommodation provider ...??? Just 30 digits of codes.

The room was clean and comfortable. Reception was welcoming and they were very helpful in coming to show us how the heating worked. Down side was the towels in the bathroom were fraying and the bedspread was past its use by date only minor things. The other point would be the have instructions in the room on the use of the heater and a map with dining facilities in the town. Apart from those minor things, it was an enjoyable stay.

Friendly staff and has all the basic amenities. Soundproofing was very poor, I could hear cars, trains, and even next door’s microwave. The bed was too soft. Air conditioner remote was half-broken, I couldn’t adjust the temperature so the room was either too warm or too cold. Overall, not ideal for light sleeper or sensitive to room temperature.
