"Old building but the property and room was clean and well maintained. We were given Room 309 and I couldn’t get a good night sleep as I can hear something ticking in the room. Also, the pillows were not very comfortable and don’t provide the right support for me. Breakfast was ok but staff wasn’t attentive to refilling the breakfast items quickly. "

"Not a bad hotel just up the road from the main town centre of Lilydale. Only a five minute walk to the Lilydale International Hotel (great meals). On arrival I found the room to be clean and in very good order. The staff in the office were very helpful and guided me to various places around town. I had found out later that this hotel is part 'social housing' / 'halfway house'. When I woke Sunday morning, the police were present and I assume someone had O-D'd in a room up from me, as an ambulance arrived shortly after. This was not a problem and did not hinder my stay at the Econolodge. Would I stay again, absolutely !"
