This is my second stay at Sliezky Dom, an excellent location for all types of winter sport. The hospitality of the staff from the kitchen to waiters were exemplary.

Lack of parking

You are not allowed to park at the hotel and must park in a parking lot about 7 km down the mountain. This affectively limits your ability to go into the small towns and are forced to have the evening meal at the hotel at €25 each person the meal was not worth €25.

What a location!

The drive up was exciting but what you see when you arrive is jaw dropping beautiful! We had no idea it would be this amazing in person! Check in was quick and easy, and staff were all very welcoming. We had a corner view facing the mountains and lake and couldn’t stop staring! The hiking is wonderful and if we had been better prepared for the cold would have done a proper hike. Dinner and breakfast were small but wonderful, ample offerings of tasty food. We loved the 1 hour of wellness included with our room (spa view is amazing). The only thing is check with hotel about leaving window open at night as we tried with ours, but the wind was so intense it shook our whole room so we opted to only crack it open. Highly recommended!

Un magnifico hotel en plena montana. Habitacion muy agradable, excelente desayuno. Personal un poco distante. Cuidado con el acceso al hotel si tienes coche ya que es imposible aparcar y se debe dejar el vehiculo en el valle y coger un transporte del hotel pero el procedimiento es folklorico Cena buffet correcto. Best hotel in the High Tatras, worth the visit!

One of the most amazing hotels to go and stay. The transport to go to and from the hotel was an experience to remember. Seeing the views from above was definitely worth it! Everyone was so lovely and they went above and beyond to make sure your stay was comfortable.

Wunderbares Hotel direkt am wunderschönen Bergsee

Wunderbarer Ausblick in die Berge und ein kleiner Bergsee mit traumhaften Wasserfall. Modernes und sehr schönes Hotel. Das Nachtessen-Buffet ist fein. Das nette Personal hilft bei allen Fragen. Einziger Nachteil ist, dass mit dem Auto nicht zum Hotel gefahren werden kann, aber es gibt ein Shuttle-Bus welcher durch die Bergstrasse hoch fährt. Sehr zum Empfehlen!

Stayed there for 2 nights. The pictures don't do justice - the view and location is far more amazing than the pictures suggest! The rooms were clean and neat, the service was friendly. The wellness area with it's quiet lounge is breathtaking. Highly recommend the hike from the Hotel up to the Polsky Hreben!

Heavenly location

Sliezsky Dom was in a heavenly position, with access to hikes that were just unbelievable in the natural beauty they presented. The hotel room was very nice, our pre-booking interactions with the hotel was very efficient, and the Wellness Centre was amazing. Particular mention must be made of the massage - we paid extra for this, but it was well worth the price! We felt, however, that the service could be improved. The service seemed many times to lack a certain level of warmth and hospitality. We also felt the food could have been improved, especially given the EU15 price we were each paying for dinner. If the hotel was full, the dining experience felt a bit crowded, and the various options available at the buffet would run out. Overall, however, we would definitely stay here again, and would recommend others do so as well!

Sleep Under the Stars in the High Tatras

If you have a rental car and want to sleep away from the corwds, do yourself a favor and book a room at this hotel. Clean, comfortable and with a great Spa-room (Jacuzzi, Sauna, Steam Room, and "Relaxation Room" overlooking the mountains and waterfall). Literally at both the top and base of the mountains--high up with still lots more places to continue climbing, you will be happy to escape the crowds by this hotel's great location away from it all. Dinner is included so don't make any plans but to hike, eat and meet some new friends.

Отель супер, помимо включенного завтрака вы можете поужинать - шведский стол 15 евро с чел. Обратите внимание, что парковка при отеле платная и ограниченно количество мест . Ближайшая парковка не при отеле в 7км. Отель находится высоко в горах, на берегу озера с водопадом. В отеле выдается карта с тропами для hiking.

Excellent location for mountaineering/hiking

Excellent location and "base camp" for daily hiking/climbing/ski-touring. Hotel personnel is great and also facilities- even "luxurious" for mountain life!
