"Really lovely place, staff were great, room was wonderful and a great place to stay before or after exploring the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Breakfast was really good too and we ate at the restaurant in the evening which was really good and reasonably priced. A real gem of a find......"
"This is an easy walk or drive from a local entrance in the park, so you can avoid parking in the large parking lots and get on the boat to explore the upper falls. The hostess was very helpful and both dinner and breakfast were tasty. The rooms are large and clean, with AC and a nice bathroom."
"We arrived late at night at Zagreb and encountered delays at the airport for receiving our bags and securing our hire car. We had only booked our stay that afternoon and I was nervous on how long the drive would take, whether google maps would be reliable to locate the cottage and also if check in would be a problem.
Each step of the way, i communicated to the Host Natalie and she was so accommodating and helpful. She sent us videos and guidance that put my mind at ease allowing for a late night check in (roughly 12:30am we arrived). The breakfast the next morning was lovely too and rivalled some big hotels we had stayed in recently. We only stayed one night before going to the lakes - would not hesitate to stay here again - it’s gorgeous!
There is great parking on site too.
Two additional tips I would suggest for travellers. Book your lake tickets in advance in peak season (it gives you a window for entry). Depending on your fitness levels, factor in a full 6-8hrs of walking for the day if you’re doing both the upper and lower lakes. We were quite tired afterwards and would have been happy to stay another night but we drove onwards to split afterwards (quite intense). Just make sure you consider the size of the park so you’re not stressed as it’s huge!
Thank you Natalie for making this trip so memorable - we loved every minute"
"Rooms Imperial House is better described as a bed and breakfast or lodge rather than a 4-star hotel. There is no elevator, so it is best suited for travelers with light luggage.
Parking was free and spacious. Our room was large enough for two guests with four suitcases and backpacks. The bathroom was adequate, though amenities were minimal, with only two small sachets of body gel per person (about 7 ml each). The toilet paper was a V-fold, single-sheet dispenser type, which appears common in this region but differs from standard 4-star hotels in Split and elsewhere in Europe.
The bed was positioned directly under the air-conditioning flow, which made sleeping uncomfortable at times. However, given the extreme heat in late June, the air conditioning was necessary and appreciated.
There is no on-site restaurant, though several well-rated dining options are nearby. Breakfast was very good, offering pastries, bread, eggs cooked to order, and a cold selection of cheese, meats, tomatoes, and pickles. Guests were free to choose their seating.
The location is convenient for visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park, approximately 2.5 km away. The receptionist was not very warm in demeanor, but she was helpful in allowing us to leave luggage in our room while we visited the park.
One suggestion for improvement would be staff awareness in the breakfast area, as standing or observing guests while eating can feel uncomfortable."
"We had a wonderful stay at Miric Inn. Boba and Milan were incredibly helpful and hospitable from start to finish — the kind of hosts who make a place memorable. They dropped us right at the park entrance and the bus stop, which made getting around so much easier, and they even encouraged us to take food from breakfast with us for the day, a really thoughtful touch. After we'd already checked out, they still offered us drinks while we waited — genuinely kind, above-and-beyond hospitality. The inn itself is lovely: quiet, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. We'd happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Plitvice."
"Checking in and out the room from the restaurant out on the main road could be quite confusing. If you didn’t have a car, it would be quite impossible.
Overall, the staff was very helpful and it was a very pleasant experience."
