"The Monterey Motel is an unexpected gem near Old Town. It resembles the original structure but has been carefully renovated to perfection and yet remains affordable! The family room was PERFECT for my family of 6 and the 3 additional bathrooms available two doors down were a lifesaver. The pool is appointed with nice chairs and loungers. "Room was awful door doesn't seal you can hear every little thing, light coming thru all the way around it. Bed was as hard as bricks, tv remote didn't work. Went to shower and just to get Luke warm water in the shower it had to be all the way hot. Breakfast was terrible no one was keeping up with food running out so we just left and went to Starbucks. Definitely not worth 115 dollars a night"

"We recently stayed at Quality Inn & Suites Albuquerque West while traveling with our three boys (ages 4, 6, and 10). Overall, we had a good experience. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good with a decent selection, although it wasn’t anything exceptional. "The staff were very helpful when we decided to change hotels but I was shocked that the room rate jumped more than $50 a night. Then we were charged $7 a day to park in THEIR lot. When booked I saw no mention of this additional fee. When I contacted customer service they did graciously reverse the charge. The facility itself was very nice. My only complaint was financial."

"It was gross. There was a cockroach as soon as we walked up to the front door. When we got in our room and turned the light on we saw a roach run across the table. The carpet was stained, there was mold in the bathroom and the whole place smelled awful. I ended up booking at a different motel for the rest of my trip."

"Nice location in relationship to Old Town. The rooms are spacious and modern. The fitness center is well equipped. The onsite restaurant is a bit expensive but the food is very good. They also offer free valet parking, which is great. We had a great experience with Hotel Chaco."
