"Charming and comfortable hotel on the fringes of the old town. Everything is very walkable. Lots of restaurants in the immediate area and down in the port area. There was a small market on Friday right outside the hotel with a coffee truck however everything was very quiet at the weekend. "

"Leuk hotel! Grote kamer voor 4! Zeer proper! Zeer kort bij het strand. Beetje zeezicht op het (kleine) terras. Zeer vriendelijke mensen. Beetje nadeel je kan niet aan het hotel parkeren. We konden wel gratis verder in de straat parkeren (100m) daar was meestal plaats. Heel soms even zoeken. Leuke en gezellige buurt met leuke speeltuin in de straat. "

"This hotel has fantastic views in multiple directions, and many of the rooms have private terraces. The private beach with bar and beds amongst the rocks was an unexpected amenity that we loved. The pool is small but is nestled between small cliffs...truly unique. The location was quiet and only a few minutes from the center of La Maddalena, but don't expect to easily walk into town...it was about 1.5 miles, which is steeply uphill on the return. We recommend this location if you have a car."

"Hotel Castello suited me so well as a single traveler. The staff were the best part for me - so nice and accommodating. My poor Italian was not a problem when I had questions for the front desk staff. They helped me to book a boat trip to La Maddalena islands. I had a room facing the road. It was cleaned every day with fresh towels as needed. Breakfast was plentiful. Golfo Aranci town and marina is a short drive away or a 15 minute easy walk. The beach behind the hotel has very soft sand....

The owners are wonderfully friendly and make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The highlight was the delicious breakfast delivered right to the patio outside our room—such a charming and relaxing way to start the day. We loved our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!"

"The property has a dramatic physical setting with a panoramic view of Bonifacio, the Bonifacio Strait, and Sardinia in the distance. The grounds are tastefully landscaped with plantings of olives and other Mediterranean species. Staff was helpful with restaurant and excursion recommendations."

"Great hotel, with an amazing breakfast and nice beach. Room is quite small and beach is private and nice but there are definitely better beaches within driving distance. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Need a car to drive to dining and shopping. Pizza restaurant on property was amazing btw, best pizza we ever had!"
