Relaxed atmosphere

Amazing staff and good amenities. The restaurant is amazing for the dinner. Finnish sauna is a real deal and this is a lot coming from a Finn. Will go there again with a quite high probability.

Grand old house with converted outbuildings. A unusual hotel, which would be a lovely place to stay in summer months.The restaurant was excellent.

Pros: Beautiful 15th century estate, renovated in most parts, nice staff, beautiful garden and outdoor pool, comfy beds, spacious bathroom. Many spots to relax by tall trees and enjoy the garden. All doors have security codes and the whole area feels very safe. Cons: Presence of Spiders and Mosquitos as expected from an estate in the middle of a garden, the restaurant needs a booking in advance and you can not just show up and that is understandable too, breakfast is good but not many options.

A little disappointing

Check-in was friendly, even though we arrived much too early. The place, an old farmhouse, has been renovated, but the windows, doors, and floor tiles are still original. We could hear everything, and the floors were not clean, making us uncomfortable walking without shoes. There were various bugs crawling around. The shower is an old bathtub, and the bathroom had a stale, musty smell. On the positive side, the garden is beautifully maintained with plenty of sun chairs, and the bushes provide some privacy. The place feels safe, but the room we stayed in on the ground floor needs a complete renovation, not just a fresh coat of paint. The bed was comfortable, and the on-site restaurant was convenient.

Booked this place pretty last minute so didn’t expect much. From the moment we got there we were blown away by the staff and the grounds. Laura and Mariam were accommodating, allowing us to check in slightly early which was amazing. There’s two areas for parking which are both free which is useful as I recommend hiring a car as you are only 24 minutes drive to lake como by car. The hotel is only 40 minute drive from Malpensa in a quiet, secluded area which is amazing after a busy day out. The cleaner came every day to change sheets and replace towels etc, they did the best job. There’s a quaint restaurant on site with bar if you would like to have a night in and enjoy the quiet. This place is perfect! Will be recommending to everyone I know. Only one Criticism is the duvet cover didnt have buttons so kept falling away but this is insignificant.

Beautiful hotel 15 minutes from como

Hotel and its grounds are beautiful. Room has been done to a high standard and all of the amenities we needed (although an iron would have been good). Pool is very clean and well maintained, plenty of sun loungers and chairs across the grounds and in pool area. Very modern throughout whilst maintaining its authentic/rustic feel. Rooms well air conditioned and clean and staff very helpful. Breakfast buffet was ok, minimal hot food options.

Lovely hotel

Beautiful hotel. Staff is very friendly, beautiful garden. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Our bathroom was quite tiny though, with limited shelves and space to hang towels. Great restaurant, we had dinner there twice and very much enjoyed the food. This is the perfect location if you want to avoid the crowd in downtown Como.

Everything was very good for our one nights stay, a nice room and good breakfast the following morning and as we arrived late at the property due to delays on the road my only concern was there was no one on site after 9pm, but i called and we did a virtual checkin of where i was given the details by whatsapp, Really the only problem with this property for us was the parking, it was in a rural bit of land away from the property which may not be a problem to most but we specifically booked everywhere on our trip based on getting parking directly on site, it wasnt until after we booked that the info came through about it not being a secure area ! all in all a lovely place for one night.

Perfect for long stay

The place is stunning and looks brand new. We booked the studio suite for a week. Very comfortable with eat-in kitchenette and separate bedroom/bathroom. Great comfortable bed, nice linens, super shower! Very quiet in lovely outskirts but minutes from lake Como. Great place to come back to after a day of sightseeing.

Perfect!

This is our second apartment of our second week staying at Dandelion. This apartment is slightly bigger than the first and equally comfortable. Cleanliness is optimal! The staff are super helpful. The restaurant on the premises is excellent. The garden is gorgeous. Dandelion was perfect for us.

Our stay was amazing. The hotel itself was beautiful. Extremely well preserved and maintained. The grounds were impeccably kept. The place is truly something that could be used in a movie. The service was also increíble. Alessandro took care of our family at the hotel’s restaurant. He paid attention to every detail and added a personal touch that made our stay memorable. Very close to Como and convenient to all that beautiful Lake Como has to offer.

Booked 3 rooms, Wasn’t a bad experience but i have to say if you dont like spiders do not book this place. There is spider webs everywere. Looks clean at first sight but the webs are everywhere when you look up, also there is no reception after 22:00 - 24:00 so make sure you get all the answers to your questions before they leave.
