"I moved to the Splendid because my previous hotel wasn't great; I couldn't be more pleased with my new hotel! It's very well located, but not on a too busy street so everything's on your doorstep but you don't have to cope with the noise. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Breakfast is really good and varied and starts from 6.30am which is a bonus when you go on day trips as they start early. The pool is not a swimming pool (i.e. too small to swim in) but a half indoor relaxing pool (i.e. one side is open instead of having windows) which is nice as you have the outdoors (and a nice view) without having the sun baking you. But what made my experience truly unique and amazing there is the staff who are incredibly kind, focussed on your needs and very eager to assist in any way they can. Cindy in particular is the lady who looked after me from the beginning, she was not only listening to me but remembering everything I'd said. She provided very good recommendations, always enquiring whether everything was fine. Because of a lufthansa pilots strike I had to change my return flight and lose my last full night (I stayed until 9pm so well past checkout time) and breakfast. Quite understandably, they couldn't refund me the last night but they covered the taxi cost to the airport and offered me to prepare a breakfast box even if they had no obligation to do so. They even gifted me some Vietnamese coffee they knew I love. When I go back to Hanoi, it will be my first choice!"

"The room was very clean. Staff members were friendly and attentive. Just FYI, the mattress was quite hard, so it’s great for back sleepers but not so much for side sleepers. Also, the spa is actually located a couple of blocks away and not exactly at the hotel. "

"Best massage of my life at the spa! Indoor pool was chilly. Close to shopping, grocery store, Starbucks. Interior spaces and room were spotless. Very quiet at night for sleeping. Enjoyed my stay!"
