HAIAN Beach Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"We were reluctant to choose a local brand, when there are so many international hotel brands in the city, but we are very happy to have stayed at the Haian Beach Hotel and Spa. Check In was quick and simple, and there were always staff members in the lobby to help out. Breakfast every day was super, and even during busy periods the staff kept the buffet filled with all the fresh fruits and pastries. The rooftop pool and bar area were great, and never too busy. One of us uses the spa for a massage, and it was great service and value for money. The hotel is just across the road from the beach, with many safe swimming zones marked clearly close by. There are also many beach clubs within a five minute walk. Like many areas of the city, there is some construction going on locally, however we were accommodated with a new room when some noise disturbed us. Big thanks to Sarah and Hailey from the front office team for their excellent service and professionalism"

Rex Hotel

"The room is always very clean. You can't beat the breakfast buffet great variety and very fresh. The staff is great and always extremely friendly. Made up my room several times in one day. Have stayed at many different hotels in Saigon always end up back at the Rex. Hotel is located right in the middle of district 12. Within walking distance to just about every attraction. On the square next to the Capitol building always a fun place to walk around at night. Highly recommend the Rex hard to beat the price. Exceptional value. Can always come early and drop off your luggage and check in later. Very safe and secure. Swimming pool is always very clean and never crowded. Always quiet. The rooftop bar is spacious for the great view looking down at the square. Hotel has historical significance which is very interesting to me. Great all around place to stay especially if you are a first-time visitor everyone knows where the Rex is. Close to all the great shopping areas in district 1. If you don't want to walk cab rides (grab) are easily accessible from the Rex and cheap. If you're looking for an adventure take a grab scooter. Don't be surprised when your ride is less than a dollar USD."

Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa

"The Hyatt DeNang has all the hallmarks of a classic resort experience. For those that want a luxurious ambience, with a hint of resident culture, this is for you. Learning the ropes takes a day or two, eg. happy hour changes depending on the bar, it's possible to get 2 for 1 cocktails between the hours of 4 - 8pm if you plan it out. Ice cream bars are also placed at strategic locations to keep the youngsters happy too. For families this is a very well thought out resort design. Prices are what you would expect to pay in Australia, the assumption that this will be a cheap holiday will disappoint. Also disappointing was the linen. I am a bit of a connoisseur of hotel sheets, with the expectation of crisp cotton, and a choice of firm or soft pillows. Neither was delivered here, so despite the firm mattress, I've had better sleeps in a 3 star hotel. This resort best suits young families."
