"Clean rooms, great decor/design and facilities within the room. The usual kettle, iron, hairdryer but also the facilities to make basic meals if needed. Overall a very relaxing place, lovely friendly staff. The hotel exudes style, competence and professionalism. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful despite the slightly compact restaurant space. City centre walkable within 10 mins and plenty of fantastic eateries for dinner nearby. "

"Return visit after 35 years ! It has gone a bit more upmarket but overall had not changed much . Still very comfortable, clean and convenient for everything beautiful Christchurch has to offer. Loved George the bear who went on to travel all over New Zealand for 3 month with us . Hope to be back before the next 35 years ! "

Really handy for walking into central Christchurch and very close to great food outlets, the Tram ride and the Catheral Square. Off street parking and very easy to find. I appreciated the extra cleaning done and the friendly staff. "

"Very clean, great location for sightseeing. Tram route, Quake City, Memorial Wall and Botanical gardens all within easy walking distance, to name but a few. Friendly and helpful staff, although some minor communication issues. Good breakfast with fruit, yoghurt, cereals, toast and a choice of Bacon and eggs or eggs Benedict, plus juice, teas and coffees. Easy parking too. "
