Great Last-Minute Find with a Nostalgic Touch!❤️🤩
I was honestly a little worried about staying here after reading some of the Google reviews. But since we planned our trip very last minute, we didn’t have many options — and I chose this hostel mainly because I wanted to relive my school days and enjoy that kind of experience again.
Surprisingly, we had a really great stay! Uncle Dalbir went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. He checked in on us a couple of times just to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything. His warm hospitality and kind gestures really stood out.
The hostel itself was clean and cozy — no complaints at all! If you're looking for a simple, nostalgic, and welcoming place to stay, I’d definitely recommend this one.
We needed a low cost room for a few days and this hostel fit the bill. The bed was comfortable and the bedding super clean. Our host provided us with an extra quilt, as the room was unheated, and we were toasty warm.
The room and kitchen were clean and staff were helpful and friendly. I was one of few guests at this time, which made it a pretty quiet place to stay. However, the walls are very thin and I think it could be noisy if the rooms were all full.
We had a room without Windows, but the beds where good and the room cool and dark;-)
Very friendly atmosphere and good service.nice and clean kitchen. Central location close to shopping.
In all you get good value for the money.
Nice hostel. Nice room. No parking except the main street which is metered during the day.

Nice private room, small with just enough room for a queen bed. A bit noisy the second morning with a young family next door. I could see the one shower being a problem if the hotel were busy. Nice modern kitchen. Located right downtown. Amazing shopping!
The hostel is very simple, the owner is very nice. However he is not always present, and therefore we had to fall him upon our arrival which has costed us 5€ extra as we are not Canadian!
I stayed one night in the co-Ed dorm and one night in a single room. The people in the dorm were very quiet. But I could hear the people next door talking through the paper thin walls of my single room. But mostly the experience was really good. I felt safe as a single woman.
Clean and quiet. Full kitchen. Inexpensive. Ok, so this is not the Hotel Vancouver but for the price it’s better than you could expect. There are others living here so you need to have the ability to be quiet yourself, be respectful to others, and clean up after yourself.
Bring your own towel and pad lock.
We checked into the Vernon Hostel in Vernon, BC, and found the owner to be very accommodating, as he gave us a choice of rooms. We took the queen bed in a private room. The room was small, but the bed very comfortable. The bathroom and shower room down the hall were modern, except for no outlet for a hair dryer, and towels provided free. The kitchen was new and very clean. There was a large living room with two sofas and flat-screen TV. The dining area had 12 high-backed leather chairs at the big table, and a separate table for two. The other guests I met were friendly and quiet, and included some older people like us.
