"Excellent staff, clean room, area doesn’t feel safe but didn’t have any issues at all. We were familiar with this area but discovered new restaurants including Tratto which was amazing! Walking distance to Union Square and cable car made out short trip even better. Definitely we will come back. "

"Great location near Union Square. Our room was clean and well appointed. Staff was excellent. Parking check in was slow but we arrived at a busy time. Nice that they have valet option with in/out privileges. Although there is no restaurant on site, they have made arrangements with several restaurants nearby to offer discounts. Just show your keycard. Nice touch! We have another favorite place to stay in SF. "

"Quirky decor, friendly staff, central air conditioning, quiet rooms, cute bathroom with walk-in shower, comfy bed, really nice gym. One of the best hotels in SF! Only thing missing from the room was a microwave, but the front staff reheated food for me."

"The rooms are well sized, clean and modern. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The bar and restaurant area are well presented. I would stay there again. Very central. Put on some comfy shoes and walk those hills of San Fran. "

"The room was spacious and clean! Bedding was very nice and comfortable. The location was central and close to the Opera House which was the reason for our visit. We did have a hard time finding a restaurant close by after the performance and ended up eating next door to the hotel at Mel's. Not exactly a meal to remember but it honestly wasn't bad. Parking garage was very convenient and dare I say affordable at $49 with in/out priledges. I would definitely stay at the Courtyard location again! "
