Owner was very friendly, breakfast was good and plentiful. The drawbacks were the bathroom was on a lower floor from the nedaleeping area and connected by a narrow spiral staircase. Area is also extremely noisy being one of the major party streets in Valentta

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great central location. Unfortunately that location also means a lot of noise from the neighbouring church and bars. The church bells will ring sporadically from dawn to dusk and the noise from the bars below goes on until 2am at the weekends! Away from that, we had a beautiful room with 2 terraces! Great service at the free breakfast. Recommended for a stay in central Valletta.

Amazing hotel in the heart of Valletta! Great spot especially if you want to feel the heartbeat of the city! Hosts were wonderful and knowledgeable! Would highly recommend! And don’t forget to buy a piece of their beautiful artwork to remind you of your stay!

It was busy and noisy outside but family operated hotel was charming enough to please us. Each room is decorated differently. Our room was spacious with separate living room and bathroom. Breakfast was fresh and tasty homemade. It will be perfect for young adults to stay here. There are many bars and restaurants outside.

Wonderful property for our short break

Unique property with amazing character. Our room was very spacious with both a sitting area and mezzanine bedroom. The covered balcony was a great place to sit and enjoy the sights and atmosphere below. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast very tasty. The property was ideally situated in the middle of Valletta and handy for bars and restaurants. It provided easy access to Valletta for exploring the wonderful city. We'd highly recommend this if you are visiting Valletta.

Excellent service. The owner even came to our taxi to assist in picking up our luggage to the premises. Never seen that before in my entire accommodation's needs.

Beautifully maintained old palazzo in a good location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Valletta is quite small and thus incredibly walkable. Nothing is more than a few minutes away. Would stay again. If accessibility is a concern, the Layla penthouse may not be the best choice as there are a few stairs particularly between the two terraces and down to the bathroom (which does not have a door so that may not suit everyone). It does face the street where there are bars/restaurants that stay open late with music playing etc so if you are a light sleeper, this may also not be the best room for you.

The owners made us feel welcome and the property is a awesome unique boutique hotel. Full of unique pieces the owners have collected. One thing to note this property does not have.a 24/7 reception even though Expedia gave us the information it did. We did not arrive until midnight due to delayed flights. We had provided our flight number so the owners were tracking our flight and waited for us to arrive.as we couldn’t be contacted. If I got the correct information I would have reached out to the hotel to arrange after hours check I as with a few of the other places on this trip. The owners were very gracious in waiting’ for us to arrive.highly recommend great location and beautiful hotel

We had an amazing stay at Valletta Lucente. We stayed in the Lucia room and it was very well designed and thought out. The area is very busy but we enjoyed that we could walk right out the door to many cafes and restaurants. The owners were also amazing. Our airline had lost our luggage and when it finally arrived and was going to be delivered, the courier needed to meet me with the bags since the hotel isn’t on a drivable street. Unfortunately we had an excursion scheduled at the only time they could drop them off that day. So instead of us missing our excursion or being without our bags for another day the owner said he would get the bags for us and he did and left them in our room. You couldn’t ask for better customer service with owners who go out of the way for their guests. My wife and I really appreciated it. We will definitely stay here again

Valetta Lucente is in a prime location in downtown Valetta although on a pedestrian only street which makes it a bit difficult when using Uber. However the hotel more than makes up for it. Interior quirky but really works. We arrived at 3:00 AM but staff were there to assist us. Didn't meet Charles till the second last day of our visit but previous reviews on both him and his wife and staff lived up to their reviews. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Malta. I mentioned about quiet. When we arrived at 3:00 AM the street was very quiet but when we got up and went outside the hustle and bustle and noise was a shock! However the construction of the hotel (solid) meant that no sound penetrated to our room, believe me a huge bonus! Congrats Charles, we will be back! Frank D Ottawa October 15th 2023

That was the cutest und lovliest hotel we ever been through. We didn't use the transfer, so we can't rate that. The busterminal is ca. 10 minutes away, the hotel can easily be reached per bus. The employees were incredibly nice and helpful. The room was just beautiful, I can't describe it in other ways (we had the room 'Lucia'). Such a lovely furnishing. There Was always fresh water and fresh flowers. Every night you get a good night story with maltese legends, it was so cute! The breakfast was very delicious and everything was cooked fresh. The position is in the middle of the crowded part of Valletta, you can reach many shops, restaurants/bars/cafes and sights in under a minute. The only negative thing about that: because of this location it can get loud outside at nights. But nothing that earplugs couldn't solve. It was a great vacation, a really great hotel and when we come back to Malta one day, we will definitly stay at this lovely hotel again. Thank you guys for everything, it was perfect!
