Good hotel for a short stay

The room was clean, breakfast average. However, the room faced the tram and train staition and it was loud therefore till late in the night. The room was soundproof and I did not heard anything from the neighbours' rooms.

Ideal for cycling tourism (Paris-Roubaix)

A very special hotel with a good location by the train station. Very quiet city and not ideal as a tourist as many restaurants are closed on Sundays.

Loved this hotel, right opposite the train station. The staff were friendly and polite. The room was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was amazing.

Old, dirty hotel. Staff isn't very friendly to anyone who isn't speaking French. Area which is in front of the Train Station isn't very safe either.

For the price the room and facilities were great. The room was large with an adjoining bathroom which had a separate toilet. The bathroom was huge with a double sink. The art deco theme runs through the hotel and it is very beautiful in the bar restaurant area. Food must be good as it appeared to be all locals eating there. Bar very good value for money and the free too up of wine very welcome. Very friendly staff. Close to the train station, ample parking on the side streets adjacent to the hotel. Downsides: I’m a wheelchair user, the ramp was at such an acute angle that it was too dangerous. So I had to get help to get up the few steps. The lift is extremely small and barely fit my wheelchair in, I had to pull up the foot rests and mine is a travel electric chair so it’s compact. So if you’re a wheelchair user I would not recommend this hotel. There was food in the mini fridge that was half eaten. The noise aspect was not the other hotel guests it was people who had left local clubs and decided to stand in the street screaming & shouting from 1am to 4am … we could not sleep but not the fault of the hotel staff. So if you need quiet then this may not be the place for you. The very bizarre carpet in the hallways was very strange and really does cause your eyes to deceive you, I dare anyone to attempt to navigate a straight line on it.

Excellent accueil, attentif. Bon petit déjeuner complet. Le pb. est dans les chambres. Chambres rénovées mais sinistres. Couleurs foncées cafardeuses. Pas d’espace de déplacement. Salles de bains non rénovées sans tablettes pour poser le nécessaire. Douche pour géants. Et porte de séparation qui se referme, dure à ouvrir et ne permet pas la communication avec les affaires forcément dans la chambre puisqu’on ne peut les poser dans la salle de bains. WC exigu la tête tout de suite dans la porte et qui donne directement sur la chambre !!! Lors d’un précédent séjour avions trouvé l’hôtel vieillot et défraîchi et espéré une atmosphère plus agréable avec la Motion rénové’. Las !!! N’envisageons pas un 3* séjour. Désolés.

Hôtel à côté de la gare de valenciennes. Hôtel un peu ancien mais assez classe. Très bonne restauration et personnel très sympathique. Cadre un peu bruyant.

Hôtel un peu vieillissant et dans son jus mais tout est en bon état (à la seule exception de la pomme de douche) et tout est propre. Le personnel est aimable et professionnel, rien à dire de ce côté là. Le petit déjeuner est très correct, j’ai apprécié le choix au buffet. Seul ombre au tableau : le quartier de la gare peu parfois être bruyant la nuit… Certes la dessus l’hôtel n’y peut rien si ce n’est prévoir une meilleure isolation phonique dans de futurs plans de rénovation. Idem pour les cloisons des chambres qui peuvent s’avérées minces si le voisin est plus bruyant que la moyenne.

Het hotel is super met een art deco interieur. Parkeren gratis van 19:00 tot 09:00 u. Enkel het nachtleven in de buurt was nogal luidruchtig. Het hotel ligt rechtover het station.

Très décevant

Arrivés dans notre chambre, lit de 140 datant d'une autre époque très inconfortable. Salle de bain ménage à revoir etat de propreté laissant à désirer (traces noires , poils dans le bac de douche, porte de douche cassée). Et enfin la cuvette des toilettes je pense qu'un bon détartrage s'impose. Et enfin heureusement que ce n'était que pour 1 nuit.

Sejour raté et peu reposant.

Hotel choisi notemment pour les mentions "grand lit" et "systeme dinsonorisation". Le grand lit est en fait un lit double avec un surmatelas. L'écart entre les 2 lits augmentait pendant la nuit au point de devoir descendre des lits pour les rapprocher. Concernant le système d'insonorisation, il est inexistant. Nous entendions les discussions de voisins ainsi que les ébats de voisins comme si ils étaient dans notre chambre. J'apprecierais donc une indemnisation pour La baignoire était sale (rideaux tachés, joints noircis...). (Le bouton "ajoutez une photo" ne fonctionne pas mais j'ai des photos.)
