Staff were amazing at this property. From PJ our shuttle driver to reception and the amazing breakfast, I’d recommend this hotel to anyone.

We checked in and I was dissatisfied with the room because of the traffic noise below our windows. Management upgraded us to an Executive room for no additional cost. The breakfast buffet was awesome plus it came with an egg and omelette station. The team went above and beyond to accommodate us, we definitely recommend staying here.

Comfortable stay

Check in was quick, friendly staff. Due to covid the restaurant was closed for dinner. We had an excellent meal at the sister hotel next door. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Serve a great breakfast.

Should be better

The hotel was reasonable, however, the floors in the room and the dining room were sticking. There was not enough toilet paper in the bathroom. The windows were dirty with spider webs on the outside. If these cannot be attended to then one does not have confidence that the rest is receiving attention.

Decaf Business Hotel

We had to travel to Upington due to an emergency on our family holiday. This was the only available hotel on hotels.com Although this hotel is more suited for the business traveller, things still worked out okay at the end. They had an Nespresso machine in the room, but no pods were available. When I asked, they said they haven't received their order yet. When I asked again, I was given pods - but they only had decaf. No fix then to get us through the day I guess :)

Pitt-stop

Brilliant for a halfway rest for us. However more information about breakfast, wifi and which direction the room is would be appreciated on check in. But very very comfortable!

das Hotel sieht von außen sehr willkommen aus,

leider beginnt das Zenario schon an der Rezeption, bis der gefundene Name des Besuchers endlich in PC des Hotels gefunden wird, das leidliche aufüllen der Formulare, obwohl man schon des öfteren dort abgestiegen war, nochmals eine komplette Rechnung gestellt wird, obwohl schon alles bezahlt wurde, man erst nach nachfragen ein Service mit dem vielen Gepäck behilflich wird, das Zimmer schon zum vierten Male eine defekte Klimaanlage vorweist, das Badezimmer nur für eine Person die nötigen Utensielien bwereithält, Handtücher, Wasserglas zum Zähneputzen, schlecht sauber gehalten, aber dafür eien hochwetige deutsche Personenwaage die nicht funktioniert, da die Batterie fehlt, auch die guten Betten sind zwar sehr hübsch zum ansehen, leider tritt die Bettwäsche mit Fleck auf, der Kühlschrank ist auch vorhanden, war aber mit Wasser in den Zwischenfächern voll, das Frühstück ist zwar sehr umfangreich, wer später kommt muss sich leider mit dem Rest abfinden, Kaffee wird nicht an den Tisch gebracht, was ich bei einem vier Sterne Haus doch noch erwarte, es gibt Servicepersonal dass sich mit schlechter Laune über die benutzen Frühstückstische zum abräumen hermacht, aber nicht alle, ich war in diesem Hotel nun schon zum fünften Mal es wurde immer schlimmer, was mich nun zu dieser Infomation darüber veranlasst hat zu berichten, ich werde dieses Hotel nicht mehr in Anspruch nehmen, da ich fast jedes Jahr dort war bin ich sehr enttäuscht

sauber, ordentlich, gemütliche Atmosphäre. sehr gut: kein Teppich sondern Parkettlaminat o.ä. Strassenlaterne direkt vor Zimmerfenster. Frühstück war nebenan im etwas moderneren Hotel Protea Upington. Parkplatz zwischen den beiden Hotels laut Aussage Hotelpersonal rund um die Uhr bewacht.

Convenient location

Conveniently located close to the CBD and reasonably priced however the thing that let's this place down is the noise from the lift which you here throughout the building. Staff were polite and business like but don't expect too many smiles.

Great Location

The Hotel is situated in the centre of Upington so is great for shopping. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The was a very useful shuttle service to the airport. The room was very clean and well equipped with a huge shower.

Very comfy room.

I was extremely happy with my stay. The only problem was that I was in a corner room overlooking two streets. For any privacy I therefore had to keep the curtains closed at all times which made the room very dark. Besides that, it was a great stay and I would certainly recommend it to others.

Protea Oasis

Interestingly opened next to Protea Hotel Upington, the hotel looks grand from the exterior. Though limited facilities (gym is located across the street in Protea Upington), hotel is clean and staff are polite. There is even a night watchguard to look after your parked vehicle in the hotel car park.
