"The staff are polite, knowledgeable & patient! Breakfast plentiful, varied & tasty. The pool area & gardens well maintained & lovely to escape to after the busyness of the city. Location of hotel, great, as can walk to the Village & its cafes & shops, as well as the mall. Our room was connected to another, which on nights someone was in, made it a better t noisier. Perfect place to stay!"

"Beautiful quiet hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but just a short ride away by Uber. The staff are exceptional and extremely helpful - especially Joy who always greeted us in the morning with a huge smile. There is a great choice on offer for breakfast and the food is really good. Would certainly recommend a stay here."

"The Newlands Guest House, a charming place built in 1836, has all necessary modern amenities including a swimming pool. Sarah and John, the proprietors, were the perfect hosts. They were very friendly & helpful with info about local places to see & dine at. We began each morning with a hearty meal, with hot & cold selections. Our room was very spacious and clean. Their cats & dog were a bonus. Our room opened onto a delightful garden. We had a wonderful three night stay at NGH, & would gladly return."

"I was never able to enter. The phone number they gave me never answered so was left at night trying to find another place to stay the night. It’s unacceptable that they won’t answer the phone they required you to call. "
