Lovely location with a very friendly welcome

Stayed on business for one of the main offices. About 30 minutes simple drive, lovely location wish I had more time to get out to the lakes as it is right by the Ferry place

Booked the 4 poster bed room as a special 50th trip away for my wife. Staff couldn't do anything less, breakfast was beautiful. Main meal was offered, but we'd already booked elsewhere in the area. Loation was beautiful

Perfect Little Hotel In Perfect Lake Surroundings

A beautiful place, immaculately presented from the second you walk in. The hosts were delightful and couldn’t do enough for you to feel welcome. The breakfasts were always tasty and well presented. Quite literally the only gripe that I can think of is that (for us, at least) there was never enough ketchup served and we had to ask for more every day (which was always brought quickly). But if that is the worst criticism that you can level at a place to stay then you know that you’re going to be OK! We would definitely recommend and revisit!

Exceptional 5*

My son and I had a wonderful stay at the Knoll Country House. It is exceptionally clean, every precaution was taken. It is a beautiful house in a beautiful location. Denise and Jennifer are fantastic hosts, they have great local knowledge and didn't hesitate to offer advice regarding any necessary services in the area. The twin room was both spacious and spotless. The beds are very comfortable. The teas, great selection, coffee and hot chocolate were of premium quality. There is a selection for breakfast, all of which is beautifully presented and of high quality. The housekeeping staff are also top notch, friendly and welcoming. The bathroom was spotless with lovely locally sourced soap, shampoo, bubble bath and hand cream also lovely towels. There is a solid WIFI connection to my son's delight. I would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous Country House. It has beautiful touches, the decor is totally in keeping. Loved the artwork!

Wonderful country guest house

Lovely country guest house. Excellent facilities and service. Food was wonderful. We enjoyed a very relaxing and comfortable stay and would highly recommend.

A gem discovered

Nothing was too much trouble. Staff are wonderful. The accommodation was comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is a relaxed friendly atmosphere at The Knoll. We cannot fault any aspect of our stay

Lovely little hotel in a quiet location. The breakfast is delicious. There is no bar but wine and bottles of beer are available if you ring for service. The owners are friendly and they helped me to charge my electric car through the kitchen window. Would recommend.

Peaceful stay in homely B&B

Brilliant peaceful stay in a homely and warm B&B where nothing was too much trouble. Excellent variety of breakfast, the best choice I’ve had. Very hot shower and comfy bed which was welcome! A great location for exploring The Lakes.
