This was a beautiful small hotel completely surrounded by rainforest. Plants everywhere, well maintained and always someone sweeping any fallen leaves etc. It's a few years old, which is its appeal! The staff were very nice, and the pool was great. But unfortunately the room had a terrible damp/mould smell coming from the toilet/bathroom. It was unbearable. There was also a cockroach on the bed one night. I wanted to change rooms, but that wasnโ€™t an option. The towels also smelled damp and were not usable. I had to cut my stay short because I couldnโ€™t tolerate the damp smell. No refund was offered, and the manager seemed like he couldnโ€™t care less.

Excellent value, right in the centre of Ubud.

Ubud Retreat was a delightful place to stay. Wonderful room, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was deljvered to our room at an appointed time - a beautiful plate of tropical fruit and delicious omelet and a large glass of freshly squeezed fruit. The swimming pool was good too. Near market but secluded a bit. Be prepared for animal noise at night. I did not eat there as better options within walking distance in central Ubud. Something that I not at 2 hotels in Ubud is when you put the sign clean my roomโ€™ and go out, they donโ€™t clean the room but turn the card that say โ€˜do not disturbโ€™. Then they say they didnโ€™t clean because of the sign.

Struttura carina al centro di ubud ma super silenziosa. la struttura potrebbe investire di piรน sugli aspetti manutentivi (serratura, rubinetteria, ecc) e curare maggiormente la pulizia. tuttavia il costo ridotto fa sรฌ che un breve soggiorno possa comunque filar liscio.
